Apps often use bottom tabs to make navigation easy.
However, after a user changes data in one tab and returns to another, that tab may keep showing its initially loaded data rather than reflecting the changes.
A refresh feature is needed in this situation.
First, create the screen that will support refreshing.
The refreshControl component is used inside ScrollView.
Let's build a screen that displays a list of sample data.

RefreshControl adds pull-to-refresh behavior to a scroll view or list view.
When the scroll view is at scrollY: 0, swiping down triggers onRefresh.
The refreshing property represents the current refresh state, while onRefresh is the function that performs the refresh.
I added a one-second delay so the behavior is easy to see.
colors is Android-only, while tintColor is iOS-only.
Both configure the refresh indicator's color.
colors accepts a list, cycling the indicator through those colors while it is visible.

When automatically fetching data from the server has limitations, users should be able to refresh manually.
Applying this feature where needed in an app can improve the user experience.
